The Program

Maggie Miller lost everything in the alien invasion: her husband, her child, her business. And though that’s in the past, Maggie doesn’t want to be a part of the present. She wants to be part of a program that will allow her to live in the world without actually being affected by it. The only thing in her way: the approval of Dr. Jason Gomez, a psychologist who decides who’s able to enter the program and who’s not.

Written by Ed McCarthy and directed by Miguel M. Matias (they produced together), The Program was a finalist in the Producers Guild of America’s “Make Your Mark” film competition and is currently making the festival circuit. Below is a trailer for the short film.

Currently, Ed and Miguel are working on turning the short film into a pilot.
